INTRODUCING THE NEW-LOOK BOKASHI COMPOSTER FROM HOZELOCK
With an eye on design trends and interior aesthetics, Hozelock has given the popular Bokashi Composter a fresh design for 2024, including a contemporary neutral colour palette.
The sleek Bokashi Composter is an ideal solution for those looking to make their home and garden more environmentally friendly, but don’t have the outdoor space for a traditional composter. With its’ compact 15L design, it fits perfectly onto the kitchen worktop and thanks to the new neutral colour scheme, it will effortlessly blend into the home.
Helping to reduce household waste by up to 30%, the Bokashi Composter allows you to turn all kitchen waste, including meat, fish and dairy products, into a nutrient-rich fertiliser in just 5 days. Alternatively, if you wait between 15-20 days, the substance can be added to compost to provide additional nutrients and will act as an ‘accelerator’ to your compost bin to speed up the process.
To provide handy storage, there is a clever system to store the measuring cup and cake paddle under the lid, allowing all elements of the composter to be contained without the extra clutter. The measuring cup is used to scoop out the exact amount needed for the Bokashi activator which contains micro-organisms to speed up the process of decomposing waste by causing it to dehydrate.
New for 2024, Hozelock has also introduced a separate 3.5L Kitchen Caddy, which can store kitchen waste for several days before being transferred into the Bokashi Composter. This avoids having to open the Bokashi composter multiple times a day, therefore minimising smells and helping with the anaerobic bacteria process.
The discreet caddy doesn’t require much space and can be positioned on the kitchen worktop. It is made from 50% recycled plastic and is incredibly easy to clean, thanks to being dishwasher friendly. Much like the composter, the cardboard packaging has been made from recycled materials and is also recyclable.
The Bokashi Composter and Bokashi Kitchen Caddy are available to buy individually. Alternatively, you can purchase a package of two composters to allow continuous composting, providing both preparation and maturing purposes. For added convenience, the two products can be stacked on top of each other to save on space, and when bought together, come in the same package to save on waste.
The latest Bokashi Composter is available now and has an RRP of £74.99 for a single unit, and £129.99 for the twin pack. The brand-new Kitchen Caddy has an RRP of £17.99
